SERA dan Ocean Young Guard Collaborate on Marine Conservation for Disaster Mitigation

As part of its commitment to environmental sustainability and disaster mitigation, Serasi Autoraya (SERA) teams up with Ocean Young Guard to organize educational activities and take action to protect coastal ecosystems.

The activity, which took place on Saturday, February 8, 2025, focused on planting mangroves, releasing baby turtles, and saving coral reefs as substantial efforts to promote marine conservation and reduce the risk of coastal disasters.

In addition, participants also gained in-depth insights from two main presentation materials, Design Thinking of Ecosystem and Mindshifting, delivered by Ridwan Ika Purwoko and Gredia Sekar, representatives of the SERA Health, Safety, and Environment System & Compliance Management Department.

In the Design Thinking of Ecosystem session, participants were encouraged to understand the importance of a creative and solution-based approach to maintaining environmental balance. Likewise, in the Mindshifting session, participants were encouraged to change their mindset to take better care of the ecosystem and its sustainability.

Participants were taught about marine conservation and climate change impacts, such as ocean warming, coral bleaching, and sea level rise, that potentially could affect coastal areas. This knowledge is expected to be the driving force in raising people’s awareness of the importance of conservation efforts.

Through this activity, SERA and Ocean Young Guard not only provide education but also encourage people to do their part and take action to protect nature. SERA is optimistic that this initiative can inspire more people to be involved in protecting the environment and facing the challenges of disasters.

As a company committed to social responsibility and sustainability, SERA never stops trying to impact the environment and the people positively. The collaboration is expected to strengthen the relationship between businesses, communities, and people to achieve a more sustainable ecosystem for a better future.
