SMK PAU, Its Importance in the Transportation Industry

What is SMK PAU?

Transportation services, both passenger and freight transportation, play a strategic role in social and economic life. Their role in the mobility of individuals and goods is extremely needed by society.

10 Important Aspects of the SMK PAU

Obtaining SMK PAU is definitely not easy. There are at least 10 important criteria to obtain an acknowledgment and certificate.


They range from commitment and policies, organization, risk and hazard management, vehicle maintenance and repair facilities, documents and data, competency improvement and trainingemergency management, internal accident reporting, and monitoring and evaluation to performance measurement criteria.


A while ago, the Director of Land Transportation Safety, Directorate General of Land Transportation, Ministry of Transportation, Hotma Simanjuntak, said that the criteria refer to five basic aspects. They are regulations, drivers, vehicles, repair workshops, and safety management.


Proper implementation of the aspects can guarantee the safe and smooth transport of people to prevent any loss. This is also the case with goods transport.


"The safer, faster, and more precise the transportation of raw materials or industrial products to be used in the production process or distributed, the profits obtained will surely also be maximized," said Hotma.
