In celebration of the 67th Anniversary of Traffic Police of Indonesia, which was on November 22, 2022, PT Serasi Autoraya (SERA) in collaboration with Satuan Karya Pramuka Bhayangkara, scout troop of the South Jakarta Metro Police organized an event titled “Indonesia, Ayo Aman Berlalu Lintas (Indonesia, Let’s Keep Our Roads Safe)”. Coincided with the World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims, the event, held on November 19, 2022 at the Hall of South Jakarta Metro Police Station, showcased SERA’s commitment to helping shape the next generation of road safety champions.
“In particular, we would like to thank PT Serasi Autoraya for its unceasing contributions, making this event possible. Through the event, we would like people to become more aware of the importance of prioritizing safety on the road, with the ultimate goal of reducing the number of road accidents. Moving forward, I hope that we can see this event held every year,” said the Deputy Chief of South Jakarta Metro Police, AKBP Harun, S.I.K., S.H., M.H. in his opening speech.
“I would like to express my gratitude to the Deputy Chief for the opportunity to organize this event. We are committed to educating the public on the importance of driving wisely as well as to shape the next generation of road safety champions. It has been our contribution to reducing the number of road accidents” said Happy Putro Wibowo, the Head of the Corporate General Affair, Social Responsibility, Health Safety Security and Environment (CGASRHSSE) Division.
The event was welcomed by 100 participants from many areas, not only South Jakarta, but also those from North Jakarta, East Jakarta, Depok, Tangerang, and Cirebon. During the event, road safety champions received safet pin as an award for their contibutions. The initiative is also in line with SDG (Sustainable Development Goal) Number 4 “Quality Education” and Number 17 “Partnership for the Goals”.
