Jakarta – Similar to the previous year, the people of Indonesia must celebrate the anniversary of independence day on August 17, 2021 in a limited manner, as the pandemic is still around and the PPKM (restriction towards community activities) policy is prolonged. However, despite all that, the zeal to commemorate the 76th anniversary of Indonesian independence is still as strong as ever.
PT Serasi Autoraya (SERA) celebrated the Independence Day by attending an online ceremony held by Astra International on Tuesday (17/08). The ceremony was attended by all subsidiaries of Astra International. Even with the absence of the flag-hoisting ceremony, the morning ceremony was carried out in solemn reverence. The health protocol set by the government was adhered to during the course of the ceremony. The ceremony began with the recitation of the proclamation of Indonesian independence. After that, the ceremony went on with the performance of the Indonesian national anthem and the recitation of Catur Dharma Astra. Finally, the event was concluded with a remark from Djony Bunarto, the President Director of Astra.
In addition, to enliven the anniversary of Indonesian independence, SERA urges all of its employees to participate in a short video competition with the theme of “What is the meaning of independence to you?”. The short video that has been made can be submitted by uploading it on each employee’s Instagram account using the reels feature. The employees must tag/mention the @serasiautoraya Instagram account and include the #MerdekaBersamaSERA hashtag. This competition is held to raise the employees’ spirit. It also serves as a medium for the employees to show their creativity during the pandemic.
It is expected that the ceremony and competition can reignite our spirit at work. As Indonesian citizens, we must do our best within the scope of family, work, and the community. Long live Indonesia, Indonesia Tangguh, Indonesia Tumbuh!
