IBID Obtains ISO 9001:2015 Certificate

Jakarta – IBID-Balai Lelang Serasi, the subsidiary of PT Serasi Autoraya (SERA), held an external audit opening at IBID head office in South Jakarta, on Monday (October 22). The audit which was conducted by TUV Reinland Indonesia was held to ensure that IBID deserved to get ISO 9001:2015.

"This certificate will prove that IBID has applied a standardized Quality Management System process that got international recognition," said President Director of IBID-Balai Lelang Serasi Daddy Doxa Manurung.

For your information, ISO is a non-governmental organization tasked to develop and set up commercial and industrial accreditation standard. Since its establishment in 1947, ISO has been the world's most prominent international standard until today.

The ISO 9001 evaluates quality management system instead to produce products. It is measured by the company's ability to fulfill demands, consistency in product and service, and continuous improvement.

Moreover, in the latest version of ISO 9001, organizations are required to address internal and external factors in doing business. Internal factors include employees' knowledge, job performance, and infrastructure. Meanwhile, external factors consist of technological advancement, business competition, market, as well as social and economic condition.

Other than those requirements, company also need to pay attention to the needs of customers and other stakeholders such as suppliers, employees, and parent company.

Furthermore, the importance of ISO 9001 for a company was very well described by Harvard Business School Associate Professor Mike Toffell. As cited from Lloyd's Register LRQA website, Toffell said that businesses that obtain ISO 9001 have high sustainability and increasing sales and growth. This is in line with SERA’s goal for continuous growth.

On Tuesday (October 23), IBID officially obtained the ISO 9001: 2015 certificate from TUV Reinland Indonesia. IBID has proved its ability to maintain quality product to achieve customer satisfaction.
