Coinciding with National Heroes Day on November 10, 2017, PT Serasi Autoraya (SERA) again held a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, simultaneously at two nursing homes for elderly people, Griya Werdha in Surabaya and Tresna Werdha Abadi Binjai in Medan.
Previously, the “SERA Berbagi” program had been held at another nursing home, Sasana Tresna Werdha, in North Jakarta. In total, SERA visited 322 senior citizens in those three cities.
In every city, we were warmly welcomed by the senior citizens and caretakers of the nursing homes. During the light and joyful activities, the senior citizens sang and danced together.
The highlight of the visits was SERA handing over donation to the nursing homes and the senior citizens living there. The caretakers received donation of sound system to support the activities of the homes such as regular exercises and religious events. Other donations were also given to fulfill the primary operational needs of the homes.
Meanwhile, the senior citizens received donations of medicines, personal hygiene products, clothes, and other things for their daily needs.
The homes were visited by executives of companies under SERA Group, namely TRAC, IBID-Balai Lelang Serasi, mobil88, SELOG, and O-RENZ Taxi. SERA also invited heads of districts and administrative villages and local representatives of the military and the police.
The unwavering smile, happiness, and enthusiasm of the senior citizens refreshed the spirit of everyone among SERA GROUP management and employees. We reaffirmed our commitment to always share kindness to others.
“SERA Berbagi” is part of one of our CSR pillars, the empowerment of society. We hope that what SERA does brings positive impacts to the society in general.
