Serasi Logistics Indonesia (SELOG), a subsidiary of Serasi Autoraya (SERA), officially obtained a Halal Certification on Tuesday, January 21, 2025. The certification emphasizes SELOG’s commitment to supporting the distribution of halal products in Indonesia.
As a logistics company, SELOG ensures that all processes of storing and distributing goods comply with Law No. 33 of 2014 on Halal Product Assurance (UU JPH), which requires all products entering, distributed, and sold in Indonesia to be halal-certified.
With this certification, SELOG ensures that the food, beverage, medicine, and cosmetic products distributed will maintain their halal status as they are free from the risk of cross-contamination where halal goods come into contact with non-halal ones.
This halal certification includes six distribution service locations in Jakarta, Semarang, Surabaya, Balikpapan, Banjarmasin, and Makassar, as well as one storage service location in Surabaya.
The certification process began in early 2024 with the preparation of the Halal Product Assurance System (SJPH) Manual document, operating procedures, and implementing guidelines to ensure that the entire process complied with halal standards.
In addition, SELOG established a Halal Management Team and provided training to employees, including halal supervisors certified by the National Professional Certification Agency (BNSP).
“This certification reflects the company’s commitment to maintaining quality and compliance with the Halal Product Assurance regulations. With this certification, SELOG can assure to its customers and business partners who require the distribution service of halal products as a standard,” said CEO Ferdinand Matondang.
SELOG received halal certification from the Implementation Unit of Halal Product Assurance in the Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia after PT Sucofindo, as the Halal Inspection Agency, conducted the auditing process, including document inspection, field review, and Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) fatwa hearing.
Certificate No. ID00410021047040924 was handed over in a ceremony at the SELOG Jakarta Office by a representative of PT Sucofindo to the CEO of SELOG. With this achievement, SELOG reaffirms its position as a reliable and trusted logistics service provider that promotes the halal industry in Indonesia.
