IBID also guarantees the car’s condition or quality, especially used cars that are objectively auctioned according to the actual conditions, as the car is fully inspected using ACV (Astra Car Valuation).
The process of car inspection at IBID covers car components and documents in three stages, namely pre-inspection, inspection, and post-inspection.
The pre-inspection begins with handing the unit over from the consignor to IBID. If the handover takes place outside IBID’s operating hours despite the auction being scheduled for the next day, the unit will not be inspected.
Following this is collecting the data of the unit's completeness by the ACV inspector, The data includes the name of the car owner, license plate number, car brand, car type, transmission, and document completeness, such as STNK (Vehicle Registration Certificate) and KIR (roadworthiness statement).
Furthermore, components such as lighter, service book, and starters are recorded. This process includes taking photos of the car’s interior, engine hood, exterior, and documents.
When all the data and components are recorded in the system, the next inspection is the physical examination at the IBID office. This inspection is carried out with the support of advanced OBD scanners and inspection applications.

The equipment not only acts as a guide for inspections but also records and processes data automatically into accurate and comprehensive inspection reports.
The inspected car parts comprise the interior (dashboard, indicator lights), car seats, ceiling, steering wheel, and even the storage console.
The car’s paint will also be inspected using a thickness gauge integrated into the ACV system. The recorded data will be read and automatically stored in the system to discover the average value of the paint thickness.
Then, the chassis, including the spare tire box and tire housing, are inspected following the instructions in the ACV system.
The car body and tires will then be inspected, starting from the antenna, tires, fenders, hood, panels, doors, and glass with indicators including scratches, cracks, and dents.
The car will also be inspected for any modifications, rust, fading colors, or colors different from other parts, and gaps between the parts will be checked.

The last components to be inspected are the engine and its suspensions. The inspection is done on the car battery, AC, radiator, oil, v-belt, and engine core.
During each inspection stage, the inspector can add additional notes to the indicators stated in the inspection application. This could be in the form of free from flood marks and crash marks.
Following the completed inspection, the system automatically gives the results in the form of A to E grades:
A = Excellent
B = Good
C = Moderate
D = Poor
E = Bad
The inspection data will then be stored and processed into a report that can be viewed and downloaded by bidders through the IBID website and application or the QR Code on the car description at the IBID office.
When the process is completed, the next stage is the post-inspection. At this stage, the IBID team will give car price recommendations based on the inspection results and the car market price at the Market Auction Price (MAP).
