Buying items in auction houses is a choice. However, many people doubt or are pessimistic about buying items at auction as it only favors the highest bidder.

The auctioneer also makes an excerpt of the auction report as a deed of sale and purchase (acte van transport) to transfer the title, so a deed of sale and purchase made by a notary/PPAT is not needed. For this reason, items sold and bought at an auction are completely legal.
